Our First Success Story

People love to talk about scaling a business. We took our first step and kickstarted our revenue journey. But the reality of growth? It’s usually a lot messier.

Recently, RutuRas Foods landed a massive milestone: an order for 1000kgs of our newly launched Khakhras. It was a huge leap forward for us. But almost the exact moment we confirmed the order, the timeframe was narrow and every assumption started to fall apart.

We Cracked Our First Big Distribution Channel

After months of preparation, assumptions and calculations, suddenly everything comes down to execution. The most critical phase. Infinite variables came into play.

We received confirmation around 25 days before order fulfilment. The structure was such that the exact quantity would only be communicated 9 to 11 days before fulfilment.

When the Plan Breaks, You Build a New One

As the execution begins — our primary packaging material failed.

Normally, on an order this size, a packaging failure means game over. We refused to let that happen. Our floor team immediately tore down the existing setup, re-engineered the packaging line, and updated our entire process right there on the spot. We needed replacement machinery fast.

But then, the second blow hit. Because of the global fuel crisis due to war, diesel and petrol were very limited in our area. Transport was another hassle for us. We were running out of time, so we did the only thing we could think of: we strapped the heavy machinery and critical parts onto our bikes. Navigating the brutal 42-degree summer heat of Maharashtra, we finally got the equipment back to the unit ourselves. It was a big struggle and chaotic. But the mission was bigger than the roadblocks.

While we were fighting logistics on the road, packaging machines on the backend, the real magic was happening back at the unit. The women from our local villages completely stepped up. A 1000kgs order is a mountain to climb, and their regular 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM shift just wasn’t going to cut it. So, they didn’t stop. They came back for an extra few hours night shift, working from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM just to keep the production lines moving. It was the first time in the village that our women foodpreneurs worked extra hour shifts at night.

The Real Win: A 6-Figure Impact

Against all odds, through re-engineered machines, two-wheeler logistics, and late-night dedication, we delivered that 1000kgs order before the deadline.

But the most beautiful part of this entire deal wasn’t the quantity of the product we shipped. It was the fact that this single, chaotic push generated a 6-figure revenue directly for these women foodpreneurs.

At RutuRas Foods, we’re not just making traditional food. Our honest effort is to make our Rurban women foodpreneurs successful entrepreneurs who are taking total control of their financial futures and proving that rural ecosystems can execute at a massive scale.

Growth isn’t just a number on a spreadsheet. It’s the hard work of our entire team getting machines on bikes in the blazing sun, and the incredible foodpreneurs who owned every day and night to make it happen — and this win belongs to them.
